Lloyds Short

A five-pocket denim short built around layered graphics, repair details, and a heavily worn finish. The Lloyds short is cut from 100% cotton denim in a wide BLDG4 jort silhouette and finished in a faded Foundation Wash that creates strong highs and lows throughout the garment. Large applique graphics, printed artwork, and mixed-media design elements are placed across both front legs, transforming the denim into a collage of imagery, typography, and visual references that feel collected over time rather than applied all at once.

The front features oversized graphic panels layered directly onto the denim, while contrast repair stitching in Mars Red is applied at the hand pockets to create the appearance of visible mending and reinforcement. The washed denim base is finished with brushing, fading, and subtle distressing throughout, allowing the artwork to blend naturally into the garment rather than sit on top of it. Released hems with frayed edges add texture along the leg openings, reinforcing the worn-in character of the piece.

At the back, additional repair details continue the reconstructed story. A distressed opening at the pocket reveals a plaid fabric backing secured with visible Medium Green stitching, creating contrast through both texture and color. Oxidized copper hardware, contrast stitching, and traditional five-pocket construction ground the silhouette in classic denim design while the graphics and repairs push it into a more expressive space.
