Gateway Short

A sweat short built around oversized proportions, layered artwork, and a heavily worn finish. The Gateway short is cut from 100% cotton French terry in a baggy BLDG4 fleece short silhouette, creating a relaxed shape with structure and weight. The Light Heather Gray base is treated with an intense enzyme stone wash that creates visible highs and lows throughout the fabric, giving the garment a naturally aged appearance from day one.

The front combines multiple graphic applications, embroidered details, and printed artwork arranged across both legs. A large varsity-inspired “4” graphic anchors the right leg, while layered illustrations, typography, and mixed-media artwork spread across the left side create a collage-like composition. Rather than relying on a single graphic placement, the artwork feels collected and assembled over time, reinforcing the worn and expressive character of the piece.

A raw-edge waistband extends beyond the elastic channel, creating a naturally frayed finish that continues BLDG4's reconstructed design language. The hem is left unfinished and allowed to roll slightly, with additional breaking and distressing applied throughout the front panels for subtle texture and wear. An exposed drawcord with extended length completes the relaxed silhouette, while a clean back patch pocket balances the heavier graphic treatment at the front.
